Ever since I got my first iPod touch, I’ve been passionate about photography. My parents gave me a second-hand camera for Christmas when I was 16, and it's been with me on my photography journey ever since.
I graduated from Northern Arizona University in May 2023 with a B.S. in Photography and a Minor in Environmental Sustainability. During my studies, I explored various photography styles, from nature to portrait, digital to film. My sustainability education taught me about environmental protection for future generations.
The summer after my junior year, I studied abroad in Germany, focusing on Positive Psychology and Conservation Psychology. This also enriched my understanding of sustainability and fostered a positive outlook on solving environmental issues.
Initially, I aimed to become a nature photographer, which influenced my choice of major and minor. However, post-graduation, I sought to find my niche as my mind has changed since then. A year after graduating, I had the opportunity to intern at the Waipa Foundation, where I helped with the startup of their eco and cultural tours. My role involved planting native plants and pulling invasive species, contributing to the restoration of our local environment. Additionally, I served as their photographer for various events, capturing special moments from their internships.
I am still trying to figure out where I want my photography to go, but I’m actively exploring different avenues and pathways. Today, I travel and explore different environments while continuing my photography passion. Join me as I capture various events, travels, and portraits along the way.
